I have a I6 250 motor with a stock intake manifold and a Carter YF one barrel carburetor. Should I install a non-metallic spacer between the carb and manifold to keep the carb from overheating?
Is your carburetor overheating? If not, don't worry about it.

Glenn, you have received an assortment of carburetor advice in your previous posting. It goes with the territory.
The Carter YF can be a replacement carburetor (example for Rochester B). In that situation you use what was used before (as it came from the factory). Around 1966, Chevrolet and GMC began installing the Carter YF on truck engines. In this situation you use the Carter flange gasket 1A-31. TexApache Don't want to muddy the water but I saw in my pile one of those insulators I made out of wood sometime back. Would put it in there cause it's gonna get hot in Texas sometime ! Need it to get your linkage to fit too.
