Going to install pertronix ignition do I take the 2 wires off the resistor and connect them together?? Also spark plugs gapped at .35 or best at .45 ??

I concur with Martin. Unless Pertonix can provide a statement that their latest version will not melt your coil and fry your Pertronix unit if the key is left on without the engine running, I would stay clear.

Pertronix is the only electronic product that can make stuff made by Lucas Electric look good.

Somebody really needs to come up with some funny slogans about Pertronix like the ones that have been around for decades about Lucas:

"Lucas- - - -Prince of Darkness!"

Thanks for replays decision made I sold the ignition system so will stay with points have a set of blue streak in now.
