How exciting! Now comes the fun part, putting on the finishing touches. Congratulations!

Very nice, I am planning to paint my 50 3600 a similar color (perhaps a little darker) when I get that far (a long time I'm afraid).
You can manipulate the color a bit by choosing a darker primer/sealer. We used a medium grey shade under mine.

Great looking stepside. The color looks great. Some of us would love to hear how you chose the color. It's a difficult decision and we never really know what it will look like until it's done.

First time I saw the new 2021 Chevy Silverado in the brite blue I knew I had to go with that color. A bit of research and I found the paint code and my painter was able to obtain it from OReillys. Blue has always been my favorite color so it was a bit hard to move on from the original color on the truck and go to a modern color. I’m happy I did, although I’m going to miss Ms Kathy’s door and tailgate art.

Me too. But sometimes you just have to move on.

Installed the repainted rear bumper. This is the bumper that was on the truck when I bought it. It’s not the correct bumper. Homemade brackets and redrilled by a PO at sometime in the trucks past. This will work until I can get the chrome bumper situation sorted out.

Looks great on there. One thing I like about old trucks, they're very tolerant of parts that don't look exactly perfect, especially rear bumpers. Of course compared to the brilliant new blue, the level of perfection on your truck is considerably higher now.

Nice shot of your thumb, there Martin I've never done that.
But the bumper looks good.

Don’t like putting my tag numbers out there for everyone. It’s a bit of a dance with the lens to still get the shot. More thumb than bumper.

AH! That explains it. In that case, Good job. I go a little higher tech for that. I edit the photo to fuzz out the tag number.

So, what do you do about tag numbers when you are driving around town. I have never understood the difference between a picture and seeing the vehicle on the road.
Driving around town may expose your # to 200-300 people at a given time while posting on social media gets you hundreds of thousands of looks. I’m just trying to be more conscious of what I’m putting out there.

I've never understood it , either. What mischief can anyone possibly do when seeing a license plate number in a photo? They're displayed to the public every time the car is driven.

Anything posted to the internet lasts forever and is visible to millions...folks in [censored], North Korea, you name it. Sitting behind a computer screen at home lends itself to plotting mischief in a way that's difficult or impossible in public. It can bring out the worst in people, unfortunately.
edit to add...the word "censored" above was the name of a country. Good to know forum software can do that.
