I’m gathering parts to do a T-5 5spd trans conversion on my stock 1946 truck. It just struck me, what does everyone do about their master cylinder and pedals that bolt to the old original transmission? I was planning on keeping my original brakes, (for now), and keeping the pedal configuration…..but they bolt to the side of the original transmission. What is everyone doing?

The pedal set on the 1/2 ton trucks bolt to the bellhousing and the transmission. The big bolts of that era had the pedals bolted only to the bellhousing and used a remote frame mounted brake master cylinder. I've seen people use the original setup just bolted to the bellhousing, but I would fabricate a bracket to support the back end of the pedal mount to the new transmission.
