Hi guys. I've been on this board for 10 years or so but I haven't posted in a long time. Doing some work on the 58 and I have a question. My truck has 59 front fenders and I found a set of 58 fender trim spears. I've seen some pictures but I would like to get a measurement for the spear position. It looks like 5 or 6 inches from the door gap and about 1/4 inch above the body line. Took a long time to find a set of 3800 trim pieces, I'd like to put them in the right spot. I'm sure I am going to be more active while I'm putting the truck back together. Thanks. Stan

Maybe get an assembly manual?

The reprint manual I have is for 55. Anyway, the trim holes are different for 58 to 59. I have no 58 fender to measure. I thought this info would be available as the only aftermarket fenders available are 59's. I'll keep looking.

I have a 58 with original fenders. What all measurements do you want? Just door to rear and body line to bottom?

Mine is a 3200, so it could potentially be different from the 3800 you mention.

Yes. Those 2 dimensions would work. I believe the spears are the same, except for the numbers. Thank you so much.

Exactly 4.5" from the rear fender edge (pic is at a bad angle)

Very close to 1/4" from the body line to the bottom of the spear

In the picture showing the front of the spear, the body line is at the 1" mark on the tape measure
