yahooWell,My Wife and I ,along with the Towing Company, brought home my Dream a 1953 Chevrolet Panel Truck yesterday !!!! Its a diamond in the ruff, needs alot of work done to bring her back, but thats what I wanted and wanted to do is do another restoration and my last one ill probably ever do again, because I am 62yrs. old now,and my Wonderful Grandson of 10 yrs. old will help me bring her back and hopefully him and I will have some years together working on it and driving it. Then, turn it over to him someday, that is my plan and wish. Thanks to My Wonderful ,Loving Wife for finding this Truck for me !!!! It was a Beautiful day yesterday, weather-wise and other-wise !!!! Thank the Lord for Blessing us !!! Pics. will follow soon. Pinch me,is this a dream ?? I Love It !!! Ive had so many dreams over the years of seeing and riding in My Dads old 1954 Chevrolet Panel Truck that I rode in with him alot when i was growing up. And then when he retired it and parked it on the property ,my best friend then and I used to play in it. I would of loved to have had Dads truck to restore but it went to the Salvage yard many years ago and I was too young then to even have a chance at it then. Im just so happy and excited to get mine yesterday !!!

What a wonderful story. I'm looking forward to seeing the pics and the progress. I hope you'll consider starting a Project Journal in our forum and recording your truck in our Gallery Forum once you're ready to.

Awesome news! thumbs_up

Having your Grandson involved will give both of you a chance to build some great experiences and memories. You will have to pinch yourself by the way - lol.

Very much looking forward to seeing your future posts. I too hope you will consider doing a "Project Journal". Think of it as an extra recorded story of your time together, that you can pass on along with the truck when the time is right. grin

We should have given you the link to it when we first mentioned it. After all, you are the newbie here!

If you have questions about using the Project Journals forum, HandyAndy is the Moderator of that forum. You'll find a link to him at the bottom of the PJ forum. (see the image below) Just click on that link and you get a new page that has "Private Message" as one of the "buttons" in the middle of the page.

Another helpful forum is the IT Shortbus. That's mostly for tech questions. In there is some discussions where Bolters were learning how to use the image posting feature. You can even do a test or two in there until you feel comfy with it.

And congrats: you are a REAL BOLTER now. No more "moderation."
