Hello,

does somebody have pictures/advices to setup a carrier for fuel can on the bed side of a 1947 chevrolet truck? Was it an original option?

Thank you,

Sven

If you're looking for a good jerry can Wavian makes an excellent one. They have all kinds of different mounts but obviously none are probably exactly period correct.

Thank you. That´s exactly what i need! thumbs_up

It´s not so much important if it doesn´t match to the period. For me it is more important to have extra fuel with me...fuel consumption of the 292cui engine is high.. frown

Search this on eBay. Used Jerry Cans for $30.

British 5-gallon Jerry can 20 liter 5 gallon steel for diesel

For a pre-made bracket search eBay for

Ya, 14 or 15 for the era is great. Heck, if I break double digits in any of my vehicles I'm happy.

Sven010, what sort of fuel economy are you getting?
