Did any of the 41 - 46 Chevrolet trucks come with the 15” artillery wheels from the factory? I know the std wheel was a solid steel 16” wheel. Could these be aftermarket?

I think one of the the 3/4 ton models came with 15' artillery wheels. I have a set that supposedly were the original ones for my 3/4 ton. I have 16" wheels on it now. The GM 1941 specification booklet lists 15" wheels on the light duty 3/4 ton and the picture is an artillery wheel.

Thank you, Harold41. That’s probably what’s on my 1/2 ton. It surprises me that the 3/4 ton trucks would have had a “smaller” rim than a 1/2 ton though. I was thinking, “bigger” truck would have “bigger” wheels.

There were more than one 3/4 ton models, the "heavier" ones had 17" wheels.

My 1939 model JD (3/4 ton) came with 15" artillery rims. If memory serves me, they were standard on 1937-42 3/4-ton trucks.
