Hi guys. I rescued a 1960 Chevrolet C60 from the crusher. After 27 years sitting in a field as a rat condo, I got 'er running. It's a 5 yard dump truck and I really have a blast driving it. I know, kind of weird. But, My Rochester started to leak and suck air around the throttle shaft just yesterday. Sealed it with silicone and made it home just fine. My temporary repair was to JB weld two washers on the end of that butterfly shaft. Enough space to then use a genuine US dime to seal air in and gas out. Runs fine now.
Mine is the original larger type 261 carb. It is 2 3/4 at the venturi outlet. Are these still available? Seems that what I find online looks like the smaller 235 cid carb. 2 1/2 outlet. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Probably want to start by getting the tag number so you can find the proper replacement. Then try a wanted ad in the swap meet.
