I just pulled a front wheel on my 1950 3600, what do I have? See photo attached. They are worn straight through and rings of iron are loose! Looks like 11" outer diameter?
What do I have? Source for these? Looking for identification so I don't start buying and trying... Any input would be appreciated! Thanks, Chuck

I've just been working with my '50 1 Ton and the Brake Drums look the same except that I have a Hub Extension (?...see photo)
I'm wondering if your brakes have worn so severely that they've gone that far into the drum

They are definitely worn all the way through, must have been some heck of grinding. I never saw the truck run. Working at getting the engine going. I want to get the brakes on all corners sorted out. Any helpful advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

I'm going to pull the rears off tomorrow. They say that the Raybestos 2009R drum will work. Has anyone used them on a 3600?

The Raybestos 2009R rear drums are not listed as being correct for a 1950 3600. I did install them on my 1954 3604 with no issues.

Those look like the Huck brakes on the front of my 1950 3600.

I pulled mine and installed a front brake conversion kit so I have all the basic parts if you would be interested I can provide pictures, etc. The top spring that goes from shoe to shoe was broken on both side of mine. That spring holds the shoes in against the wheel cylinder.

If you go through my project journal you'll see the Bendix conversion I did on the front of my '51 3604. Basically I had to acquire backing plates from a '53-'54 truck, then everything else was off-the-shelf (mostly NAPA).

Thanks for your input, Brian. I think I'll go this route. I'm looking at some parts this week and will see if they have any of what I need to get started.
