Hi all I am not sure what to do with the inner brace behind the passenger side door hinge on my 1950 chev 3100 truck. As I insert the brace the brace does not by pass the cowl panel holes which I presume are for the front fender. So my question is do I just drill the brace to match the fender holes, Or do I not have something not aligned correctly ?

That inner-to-outer cowl panel (brace) is notorious for not fitting well. If it fits OK other than the holes, then just drill the holes out to match the holes in the outer cowl. I see you haven't gotten the inner cowl fit yet. I'd recommend you get that fitted in place before you weld anything else in.

Is the outer cowl panel new also?

Welcome to reproductions, Rick! I have had many adventures with these things “sort of” fitting. The silver lining...you’re going to learn how to weld and grind some!
