The block casting is #3836233, date code e6 55, conv1, and serial #0297906t55y. It came with the bell housing adapter and flywheel for an automatic. Other than that, I have no idea what vehicles were equipped with powerglides in 55, I'm sure somebody else here knows!

One of my high school students inherited one of them in very good condition from his grandfather back in the early 1990's. It had a 283 engine, a Powerglide, and the fancy trim package- - - - -one of the very early "Cowboy Cadillac" types! Jerry
