Needs some help in identifying the hood in the attached photos. I saved it from an old salvage yard that is in the process of being sold. Is it from a Chevy truck and if so what year? Any help in identifying this hood would be appreciated...thanks!
Since this is your second post you probably haven’t learned your way around the site yet, so, I’m going to leave this here instead of moving it to the “Name that part” Forum.
The experts will be along shortly.
If you wish to sell it post a For Sale Ad in the Swap Meet Forum

Not an expert but I can search the Internet. Here is a 1938 Chevrolet truck. Spray some lubricant on the long center hinge. And treat it gently. It can rust up and seize. It can crack or wrinkle the surrounding metal.

I wish the rest of the truck was there! There was a front clip and hood from a 1948-1953 Chevy Truck 4500. Didn't look too bad and the hood looked very nice just don't have anywhere to store all that. Sorry for posting this in the wrong forum. I hadn't found the "Name that Part" forum yet. Thanks to all that helped me in the identification of the hood being a 1938. Very much appreciated!!

It's a farmer's patch over a badly cracked and welded spot. It's also the last North Dakota license plate issued to the truck from 1965.

It's welded but the metal is very thin. It just covers the ugly and get's remarks asking why it's there.
Anything to attract attention!

Ok, this thread has taken a 180* from the original question.
