Hey everyone, i just wanted to say thank you for all the help we have gotten over the half-year or so I've been on here. I have a small story to share before I get to the main topic of this post:

Several months ago, my cousin was looking for a small truck to help move stuff around the house, I was helping him browse craigslist and came across a post selling a "GMC Dumptruck" that was all the info we had to go off of, as well as the listing price of 3000. My cousin decided to go look at it for [censored]
and giggles but we ended up buying it. The truck had no brakes and that's why the person was selling it. We found out that the headlights were also out so we redid the wiring and got them working before working on the brakes. Now, after 8 or so months, we have almost fully finished restoring the GMC 5500 that we had bought.
But, we live in a city, and even though my cousin was hopping to do some odd jobs here and there with it, he feels as though it really will do us no good and has decided that, after we get the new cablights and mirrors on it, we are going to sale it. I was kinda curious if anyone knew of a good place to actually sale this truck at, it has
about 62k miles on it total, a fully rebuilt brake booster (after my last post we got it working!) as well as all gauges working. there is no tach in it sadly but it can be added. We were just wondering about what you all thought something could be worth, ill get some pictures up tomorrow after the mirrors are put back on.

(edited to remove dollar amounts because I did not want this to be a for-sale post lol, sorry!)

I'd suggest you attempt to google the year/model and see what you find , if anything, for reference. I'm no moderator but your post may have already pushed the limits and became a "for sale" post and really should be in the Swap Meet /"Truck for Sale" forum.. so don't be shocked if your post gets "caught". You might consider editing your post and removing references to the dollar amounts your cousin is looking for. If you could post photo's of the truck , exterior, interior, engine bay, etc... it would help folks provide their thoughts on value. Best wishes going forward.

Don? Why not? Lets see if we can get some pics and then give him an honest appraisal?

The front of the truck was just repainted, mirrors are coming on tomorrow and the radio is currently being cleaned so we can get all that back together on the inside.

Your photos show up just fine. BTW, there is no need for posting photo links. You can post photos directly to your posts by following the instructions in the left margin of every page. Your photos may be too large which would require you to resize them and there are many resizing programs to choose from. Many folks won’t open links for fear of compromising their computer.

In looking at your photos my personal opinion on value is between $7000 and $10000 but your going to have to find that special buyer.
