I had a Plymouth for 13 years, an MGA for 49 1/2 and a 54 3100 for 39 years and no name for any of them and I don't think they would not answer anyway. :thumbs_up UNLESS you count the plates on the truck, saying WE B OLD.

He was the only one *with* anything (a series of VW bugs --- this was the 60s). Now, John OTOH, he names a lot of stuff. Even at the Christmas Three farm, he named our first planed seedling "Earl." Then we were concerned about what happened if Earl died before it became a Christmas tree going to a family. So, John decided to name ALL the seedlings "Earl." Worked for me. It kinda helps when there so much of similar things (a/k/a when you have daughers). "He's gone off in Charlie" vs "in the '49" ... or "Chevy." Especially when the stable was filling up. Some fun names like "Smedley D" for the 1971 5-ton. Hoopty van. Quigley. Hmm ... my cars didn't have any names, that I recall. "Mom's car."

We were just there a few days ago.
That might give you a few ideas.

When I joined the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America (VCCA), I had the bones of a 1928 Chevy LO one ton truck. At the first club meeting I went to, they asked what my truck was named. My plans for it were to make a 12 passenger bus out of it and the visual in my head of what the front would look like reminded me of Herman Munster's face. ;-) So that truck was named Herman.
When I brought the bones home that became Lurch, my son Josh said (he was around 12 years old), "Well, if that one is Herman, this one is Lurch!". The rest is history.
I named Justin after the man who found him on the farm in 1954 and tinkered with it for 58 years before his passing (Justin T. Morgan). I bought the truck from his daughter and a lot of the conversations leading up to the sale revolved around respecting and honoring her Dad's devotion to the truck during his lifetime.
I don't name my daily drivers, a 2001 Dodge 3/4 pickup and a 2014 Dodge minivan. They are not as endearing to me as my old Chevy boys.
BTW, I carry photos of my old trucks with me, but not any photos of my children. Go figure.

Well at least that is better than my folks. They carried pictures of my brother and sister but none of me....... And I was the real one. My brother and sister were adopted. Take a guess who was treated better and worse????? | | |
