My art deco truck has NO chrome. That's enough for me to guess its a 44 to 46i. Came from the upper midwest so probably made in Janesville. Plate says vehicle weight is 4000lb.
number is = 21 OS 05 4166 which I decifer to be a Janesville 1946(interim) 1.5 ton made in May.
So here's my confussion:
Was it made in May of 45 or 46?
If made in 46 would it be month 17?
If OS means 1.5 ton then what does 4000 printed on tag mean?

My Parts Book shows "OS" as being 1946 first design and "PK" as being 1946 second design...both are for the 160" wheel base 1-1/2 ton truck.

No listing shown for 1945.

a 45 should be a 21MS37xxxx to 21ms48xxxx if they made it to december

i have a 44 1.5 with a serl# of 21MS28xxxx

if it has plastic window cranks, leather around gas filler and no chrome/stainless it would be a war production truck or start of civilan production using left over parts.

OS 46 interim 160" wb
