I was given an old GMC hood the other day, I am trying to tear it apart for storage and for some reason I measured it and it is somewhat smaller than my 41 Chevy and GMC hood. Does anyone know if the pre 41 hoods were identical except smaller than the 41? Dave

Unless some car has general motors truck badges on the side it is from a truck. Dave

My daughter wants a set of mustang badges to put on her jeep because she "loves the tiny horses".

It is possible that someone did indeed put truck badged on a truck hood.

The 1939 and 1940 GMC, and Chevy, hoods look quite similar- but I believe they are different from the ‘41-‘46 versions.
