Not sure if it's the same as a '60-'62. | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 4,168 "Hey! I sound like Darth Vader!! | "Hey! I sound like Darth Vader!! I'm not familiar with the early to mid sixties Suburban, but there are plenty of folk here who are. Someone will come along soon and give you an answer to your question.

Fuel gauge is broken and it's a bit far down on the list to fix.

Only took 14.75 gallons to fill it up after that. | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,442 Bolter | Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 7,442 | Now you know! Get that gas gauge working. Lots of good threads on it here.

Always thought it was small, but maybe the othe 4 gallons are still in there? Lol. Or 14ish it is... | | | | Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 402 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2015 Posts: 402 | It seems the c 10 and c 20 panel with the filler door towards the rear has a larger tank , about 18 gallons where as the c 30 with the filler door just behind the drivers door has it seems only a 15 gallon tank . My 62 c 30 has the original tank and when the needle hits the E mark it quits . When at this point when I fill up I'm hard pressed to get a little better than 15 gallons US. when filling up right to the cap . I average just over 12 mpg a US. gallon and am comfortable running about 150 miles between fill ups. That being said on the long haul I generally carry a full jerry can although I haven't had to use it yet .
