For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 37 Junior Member | | Junior Member Joined: Oct 2005 Posts: 37 | I have a 1951 6400 and a 54 or early 55 dump with the big grill and I would like to put the front clip from the 54 on my 51. The trucks looks to have the same geomitry. Is there anyone who knows for sure there will not be any big headaches(or visa versa)? The 51 only has 72,000 miles but the grill ate a tree.

I've seen early cabs with later front clips, and later cabs with earlier clips. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2002 Posts: 2,549 | The front clips should swap, with little problem. Most people, in my area, swapped the '54/'55 front clips, for the early '47-'53 clips. Used to be alot of '54/'55 front clips sitting around scrapped. | | |
