Next thing to do is to bolt on the tranny from my 77 GMC truck and fit it in the engine compartment to figure out where to put the motor mount kit I got from The Old Car Center. I understand that I need to have the rad support and the cab on the truck to determine where the engine will fit best. Are there any exact measurements that I need to be aware of? eg. How many inches from the rad should the fan be? Does the cross member under the cab have to be taken out? Also I read somewhere that where the carb sits on the intake manifold should be level or very close to it. Is that correct? Thanks in advance.
