I recently stumbled across a pair of N.O.S. passenger side only inner door trim panels, GM part #3686116. I installed the better of the two in my ‘48 Chevy ½ ton 5-window deluxe truck. Pictured is the N.O.S. door panel paired with a N.O.S. arm rest.

Prior to the find, maroon Spanish grain vinyl material from Jim Carter was glued to a standard door panel. The photo compares the Carter material with the NOS door panel.

Update-I picked up a NOS set of maroon inner door panels in the original wrappers and outer packaging today from a VCCA member 1.5 hours from my house. Cost me $80. They are still out there! LUKE

I am fortunate Carl. I shook the bushes pretty hard. Pinky Randall "Mr. Chevrolet" advised me back in December to place an ad in the VCCA monthly magazine and have faith. He passed away just a couple weeks after our conversation. Thank you for the solid advice Pinky!

Mission accomplished...there is nothing like fit and finish with N.O.S. parts. Thankful for the opportunity to be able to use them!

fonz 8261 Looks good !! Took a look at my 51 panels are torn and shot leak a lot of cold, need to change glass too. Found an OK drivers door glass in my barn pile so may take a shot at it.
