The headlight switch on my 1950 has the leg that goes to the dimmer switch broken off and not repairable so would there be a problem with moving the wire on park light leg to the tail light leg and then connect the wire that goes to the dimmer switch to the park leg?
When you say the dimmer switch, you are referring to the "inst" leg, correct?
If so, you don't want that on the parking leg because the parking lughts turn off when the headlights are on. If you are not going to replace the switch, you would be better off tying the instrument panel lights to the headlight leg so they are on at the same time.
