Which seller is "this" seller? You're not telling us who you're referring to.

Many of these outfits pick car/truck ads off of social media and post them as their own consignment. They try to get you to put down a deposit or give them your credit/personal information then drain your bank account or sell your information on the dark web. Check with the local (to the business) BBB for complaints.

I spent many years doing pre-purchase inspections of antique, classic, and special interest cars and trucks. Several of those cars went to purchasers in France, the Netherlands, and Australia. The vey best way to assure you're not getting taken advantage of is to commission an on-site check by a certified inspector. My recent bout with Covid has me off the road for the forseeable future, but if you're interested, send me a PM and I can put you in touch with the inspection scheduling people I worked with for about 15 years. They have several dozen independent contractor inspectors who cover just about the entire USA. The scam artists run like roaches when a light is turned on when an inspector gets into the mix.

the problem here is they have control , i know what state the trucks in but thats it they act as a go between with me and the seller , but like i said i dont know if this company has contacted him or not , or if they have even told him of my offer , i cant send an inspector if i cant give an address , i cant get a shipping quote either , ive seen them advertising for awhile so i assume they are legit , just seems like a lousy way to do things

Was going to say classic cars.com is where I found my truck, like u I expressed interest in the vehicle the and it took a while (over a week) for a reply which came directly from the seller.. we talked a few times, he sent a cold start video, no money private info changed hands until I drove 4 hours south to see the truck, we made the deal, we went to the bank together and I had them issue him a cashiers check right there ( had it arranged with my local branch the day before). Title changed hands, we shook hands, and we parted, him with check, me with truck᠁4 hour drive back north᠁

Mike, you need to re-read the "Golden Rule" - - - - -"The guy with the gold makes the rules!" These people do not get to dictate what you do with your money, and anything other than polite cooperation is not acceptable.
