It is at the top of the side of the head and right in the middle from front to back. The coil mounts aft of the hole. What is this thing for? It is threaded and it has a threaded insert in it with threads on the inside of the insert (like it is supposed to size the hole smaller). The problem is that is looks like it leaks oil a little. Any ideas?

The insert piece is something someone used to try to plug the hole

#14418 02/09/2004 8:14 PM | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | That hole was drilled from the factory for an oil passage from the head bolt to the rocker oil connector. They needed to drill it starting from the outside, it was then pluged on the outside with an 1/18" pipe plug.
