This has probably been discussed before... does anyone know of an accurate account of how many Advance Design trucks were produced? Somewhere packed away in a box or tote I have a book that I haven’t seen in years. I think written by John Gunnel, maybe. Anyway, he sites production stats, but by calendar year, not model year – if I remember correctly. But I don’t remember any of the stats.
Anyone else? Thanks!

From the Chevrolet Pickup Red Book by Peter C. Sessler. These are model years.

1947 335,393 ("includes late 1946")
1948 389,690
1949 383,543
1950 494,573
1951 426,115
1952 272,249
1953 361,833
1954 325,515
1955 393,312 ("includes 2nd series," sorry)

Total = 3,382,173

Even though 1947 and 1955 have some uncertainty, it gives an idea. I'd say 3 million ADs plus or minus.

The dip caused by the Korean War (I guess) can be seen.
