If the 261 block is shared with cars and trucks, then does the oil pan dictate capacity? Just be careful not to mix up the US quarts with imperial quarts. George George (and others), I dimly recall that my 1960 261 from a C60 school bus had an oil pan that was deeper in the rear, compared to my 1954 1/2 ton truck engines. Is that possible? I also dimly recall that the oil dipstick was longer for/from that 261. Am I dreaming on this one, too?
