I'm cleaning up the seat riser in my '51 3600 prior to replacing floor panels. There is obvious damage to the holes in the left front corner. Could someone share a photo of what this corner is supposed to look like so I can repair mine?

Also, there is a square hole punched through the rear of the riser, about mid way across (the edges are torn and bent over). It looks to me like this was a poor attempt at securing a lap belt (no seat belts were present when I got the truck). Could someone confirm whether there are not supposed to be any holes in the back of the riser, or that there is supposed to be a hole here (and if so, what size and shape)?

The factory assembly manual doesn't offer any help.

Thanks!

Here's how my seat riser looks on my '47 3100. Doesn't look exactly the same but kind of close. It almost looks like on yours somebody made a square hole for a carriage bolt. The second photo shows the only holes in the back of the riser (at each corner). There are no holes mid way through.

Brian, Your seat riser may have been damaged by the adjuster ripping through the support and/or the seat adjuster and frame hammering on the riser with the bolts loosened up. Mason's picture shows what it's supposed to look like. I can see the remnants of the mounting holes in your picture.

Mine were similarly damaged, only worse. I rebuilt them by welding replacement sheet metal in. An other 'bolter helpfully sent me pics of the dimensions to locate the seat adjuster mounting holes.
The holes in the rear should be located to align with the seat adjuster when it's aligned at right angles to the front of the seat riser. Check the distance between them using the mounting holes at the rear of the seat frame.
