| Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 5,096 | In my ‘55.2, I am lowering the crossmember between engine and trans. to get clearance for Cummins 5.9, plate the bottom of existing, use that plate for top of lowered crossmember, cut off above plate, extend sides down 2”, add plate on bottom.
