When installing the cover on my 4-speed, I thought I had things lined up properly (again and again) but I could not shift into reverse although 1-4 were OK. I think my feeble arms were letting the cover bang around a bit. So I made some guide pins. Maybe this has been discussed before.

I could leave the cover up about 1" and fiddle with the tranny lever to properly engage the slot in the cover. I'm finally ready for the 2 driveline pieces and ready to roll!
