Hello all, I am new to thread and also the new owner of a 1946 Chevrolet 6100. Its been sitting indoors for about 35 years and needs a new radiator. My radiator shop said they were unable to repair. Anyone know a guy. I appreciate any feed back.

Welcome Tucker. My local rad shop guy said he liked working on the old rads. I'm with Kevin, there must be another rad shop nearby.

I should clarify. The shop did offer an option. Quite pricey. Was looking to see if there were any other leads out there. I will try a couple other shops. Thanks

I do not have PM access at this time. Thanks for the offer though. My rad guy ended up doing better.

Just keep in mind your radiator has 0 operation pressure if it's like mine on my 46 2 ton. (The over flow is far below the cap) I flushed mine out and shook it upside down to get the chunks of rusty metal out of it over 15 years ago and I've put about 3000 miles on it since and haven't had a problem.

Tucker Todd Would stay away from re-cores,usually ends in hard to fix seam leaks around tanks. Anyway mine did, about a year in.
