I've got a new Choke and there is a rubber piece on it. I don't want it to be destroyed by heat.

Silicone will contaminate/ruin any future paint applications.

Don't know if it still exists.

Haven't seen it lately,used car dealership bought it in gallon can we used it on floor mats and rubber suspension sqoeakers.
