Anyone familiar with a '95 lt1 out of a buick? I've finally decided to convert my lt1 in my '50 3100 to a carburetor. I purchased the GMPP intake to make this happen. I'm looking for confirmation as to how the water pump hoses should/could now be routed. Can any lines be blocked off?

Out of curiousity, why do you want to convert it?

No knowledge with electronics, no instruments to set up a EFI engine.

Fair enough.

The LT1 water pump has these hookups:

Thermostat housing on the top, that goes to the upper port on the radiator.

Lower radiator port to the other large hose (near the top, pointing toward the front/driver side)

The smaller hose nipple that comes out the upper side and turns up went to the throttle body and can be capped off.

The other two smaller hose nipples go to the heater core, orientation is not critical. Ideally you want the outlet from the water pump to go to the top of the heater core, but either way will work and techline doesn't specify a flow direction there.

Alternatively, it looks like Summt sells a replacement pump (555-51091) that puts both heater core ports on the passenger side. It is a couple hundred bucks, but saves you having to block the throttle body port and makes your heater routing cleaner.

The first attachment is picture of a stock pump.

The orange port is where your thermostat/housing goes, and it should be connected to your upper radiator hose (hot water into the radiator).

The red port goes to your lower radiator hose (cooled water back into the engine.

The two green ports go to you heater core.

The purple port went to the stock throttle body (and returned through the heads) to keep the butterfly from icing up. You can cap that one off.

The second image is from the aftermarket one you mentioned. The color coding is the same, but it does not have the throttle body feed.
Jeds pump

You will notice that the aftermarket one uses the locstion of the throttle body feed for the heater. You could do the same since it is just another source of hot water, but in the stock configurstion, the throttle body nipple is smaller than the heater core one, so you would have lower flow and need an adapter hose.
