I installed a stock factory turn signal assembly in my 12V '54 but could not figure out how to install 4 way flashers so I cheated by using the parking lights. This cost about $10 for a
2 pin 12 V electronic flasher, 10A inline fuseholder, and any old switch. No dashboard indicator is required because it also flashes the dash lights. Be aware that turning on the parking lights causes them to stop flashing but that's OK. This would also work on a 6V system with a 6V electronic flasher. Please note that there's a jumper installed between the front and rear parking lights on the headlight switch (see attached photo)so that all 4 parking lights flash simultaneously. I chose an electronic flasher (see photo) because it flashes at the same rate regardless of load.
