I use Evinrude/Johnson Triple Guard grease on some outboard applications. Has anyone used it on our trucks where a high melting grease is called for such as the pilot bearing? It is very, very thick and you almost need to warm it up just to get it out of the squeeze tube.

Most pilot bushings are "oilite" bronze, a mixture of bronze powder and graphite, and do not need to be lubed.

Make sure you get a bronze bushing, not a cheap steel one that a magnet would stick to.
