I have a stock Canadian built 1953 1300 PU truck and it always has been missing it’s Gross vehicle weight plaque that should be affixed to the drivers side door jam.

Would like to replace it, if anyone has one, I would appreciate it.

It should say I believe, maximum allowable gross weight. Not exceed 4,200 LBS.
General Motors of Canada Limited.

Here is a photo of one attached below.

Thank you.

I sent them an email.

Just for clarity, I have seen capacity plates indicating 4200Lbs and 4800 lbs., I looked it up and see that a 1/2 ton pickup is 4800 lbs, then what size pickup would be 4200 lbs?

I appreciate everyone’s help with this

I would like to thank Kevinsky for the lead on the GVW plaque, that was posted on Kijjiji, Ontario.

It came in the mail late last week and will be installed in my truck in the spring when it comes out of storage in the spring.

I’ve been looking for one for years.

The old girl will now be complete

Thanks once again

Wishing you all the best
