If I’m looking at the manual correctly I have everything loose. Both nuts are out. I can move it back and forth and after a lot of work I have moved it out slightly. Is this going to take a big stout puller? I want to make sure before I damaged anything. Thanks.

I have always been able to pull one off from this position.

'37 GMC T-18 w/ DD 4-53T, RTO-610, 6231 aux., '95 GMC running gear, full disc brakes, power steering, 22.5 wheels and tires.
'47 GMC 1 ton w/ 302, NP-540, 4wd, full width Blazer front axle.
'54 GMC 630 w/ 503 gasser, 5 speed, ex fire truck, shortened WB 4', install 8' bed.
'55 GMC 370 w/270, 420 4 speed, grain, dump bed truck from ND. Works OK.

Were you able to back off the brake shoe adjustment, that is normally what is keeping you from sliding the hub off. If the shoes are not the issue then the bearing may have spun on the axle tube and partly seized. Rig up a pusher from the back.

I didn’t mess with the brake adjustment I will check that first thing. I like the pusher idea also. I’ll get back on this in the morning. Thanks for the advice.
