There is one thing I would like to improve: The second barrel begins to open rather abruptly at near-full-throttle, not leaving much 'gas pedal' margin between that and the overdrive kickdown at full throttle. Has anyone ever tinkered with the actuating linkage mechanism to make that second barrel open sooner, or more progressively? An obligatory internet search turned up nothing relevant.

Upon closer examination, the secondary does start to open at half-throttle. I'm just not 'feeling' the full effect of the second barrel until closer to full-throttle. The carb itself seems to be working correctly. I can't complain; the truck runs great down the interstate...and that's with the boom in the bed, plus a parts engine. There's just a couple of hills between me and St. Louis, where it's a challenge to keep up with traffic...which of course is running faster than the speed limit anyway! Thanks! -Kevin

I am at 5400 ft elevation, and running very rich (AFR=10) with the jets that came in the carb. I run stock jets etc. on my 32/36. The operational altitudes I drive at in my area range from 466'MSL to 980'MSL. With those numbers, my AFR measures dead on.
The stock configuration for the 32/36 is: Primary Main Jet: 140 Secondary Main Jet: 135 Primary Air Corrector: 165 Secondary Air Corrector: 160 Primary Idle Jet: 55 Secondary Idle Jet: 50 Primary Emulsion Tube: F50 Secondary Emulsion Tube: F6 Pump Jet: 50
I did a quick Google search, and it looks like jetting charts are available on several forums.
I also found this rule of thumb from Weber: - REDUCE main jet sizes by one size (e.g. from 140 to 135) for every 1,000' above 3,000' - REDUCE idle jet sizes by one size for every 2,000' above 3,000' - INCREASE air corrector jet sizes by one size for every 1,000' above 3,000'
