I know ,I know, back at the beginning of the year one of you genius guys posted a complete thread on how to rebuild a head light switch. I swear I made a copy of it. I was under a lot of prescription drugs so I don't know where the copy is. I followed directions and did it from a prone position and it works fine. I just need to know what wires goes where. First day under the old bugger and have traced the lines on the original wiring harness but, the colors at the rear are white, green, orange and light blue. Not what the original GM wiring diagram shows. I'm willing to admit that the harness could have been changed. The original owner said no. I guess I should just run one wire at a time and do it that way. The front lights all work. Stupid in Florida. Doc

Yes the diagram does show colors and the colors may or may not match, as you said. There is one other thing the diagram shows:>>>> Where each wire goes.

On the diagram, (Old Car Manual Project) the rear end of switch is where the AMM wire is. Opposite end is the knob end. Wires are labeled as to function and colors are given.

If you need further help, just post again.

It is also possible your switch is not original. Could be the same as original or slightly different. If it does not match the diagram, post pics of your switch.

There are errors on some internet pics of how to wire. I.E. Devestechnet.com pic is wrong.
