The '40 1/2 ton I purchased has pretty rough front fenders. The bottom of the driver's side one is pretty rusted out and at some point someone welded it to the running board. The passenger side one isn't as bad, it has a few dents and a crack but nothing is missing. I'm going to try my welding skills, well maybe "skills" is the wrong term, on it to see if I can get it back to decent shape. I've tried to find new ones, either steel or fiberglass but no one seems to carry the front fenders. I've located a '39 left front. Does anyone know if the '39 and '40 were the same? If so I'll get this one and fix the right side one. I've also located a pair of 1 ton front fenders but I don't think they were the same size.

I know this is an old topic but I'm hoping someone knows the answer to this '39/'40 question. Were the front fenders on the 1/2 ton the same? I just picked up a '40 with a "rough" body. The bottom rear of the left front fender is rusted out. I've been trying to find a replacement but no one seems to make them. According to the people at Bowtie Bits they're not made, in steel or fiberglass. Lots of rear fenders but no fronts. Anyway, I found a '39 left front but I am not sure if it will fit. I've also found a pair of '40 but they're from a 1 ton, which I'm pretty sure will not fit my 1/2 ton. If someone know the answer please let me know so I can jump on this fender.

Joe

1939-40 1/2, 3/4 ton front fenders are the same. 1939-40 1, 1-1/2 ton front fenders are different than 1/2, 3/4 ton front fenders.

Thank you Rick. Looks like what I found are new fiberglass fenders from a manufacturer in Canada. From the photo I thought they were used fenders but I guess not. I'll be ordering a pair today.

Martin, just sent the answer. Thank you.

Hey,

What's the Company name of the Canadian manufacturer that you found? Tried searching the internet and came up empty.

Thanks
