finally warm enough to work here in Cambridge, Nebraska. took both rear drums and cylinders and the master off. am going to try rebuild kits. they don't seem to bad.

i gotta get this thing outside on a sunny day and take some pics. the dump box i put on it is shorter than the frame, so it looks kinda funny. it's been getting called "Stretch". every truck needs a name i guess.

Cool!
I really like your photos, I've had the one of the red truck with the lawnmower in the foreground as my desktop for a few weeks.

Howdy neighbor, greetings from McCook. I have a 51 half ton I need to get working on someday. It has set in the same spot for almost 2 years now, so I should either sell it or get busy. It seems like I think about what needs done but just can't seem to get around to doing it. Having kids age 12, 9 and 4 has something to do with that as well as gutting a 25,000 sq.ft. grocery store to make a church.

I have a few parts trucks sitting around so if you need something, just stop in to Southwest Irrigation (across from John Deere) and ask for Carl.

the truck in the pic with the lawnmower is a white semi tractor that was converted to a dump truck. the guy that owns it wants to turn it back into a tractor for parades so i scored the dump body for $150 for my 1951. gonna use it to haul dirt from digging ponds with the ebay excavator.

hey racecarl, i live in mccook. my old lady owns bison dental on 12th and j st and her dad, also a dentist, is the guy buying the 1958 in the pic. he is into the old truck thing too. i get all my parts for my little john deere collection from ron at the front desk. i've got a 214 and 314 garden tractor, an old 50 two banger, and two 4020's. we just bought 30 acres to build a house on just across the river south of perry grain, thats where the ebay excavator is. know any good diesel mechanics? i need someone to give the 4-71 detriot in my excavator the once over.
