We had a blast. Mongo has quite the Old Truck Hideaway right in the heart of Independence, MO. Situated on nearly two acres, his giant sized building, complete with air conditioned kitchen, rest room and shop area was a great place for a Stovebolt get together.

The rest of the building is crammed with parts and memorabilia. Practically floor to ceiling, engines, transmissions, body parts to complete cabs. We also were allowed to visit the long lost Chevy Truck Boneyard located just a short drive away.

Thank you Steve aka Mongo for the use of your facility and Don King aka 2 ton for the great food and initiative to organize this event on short notice.

John

I wanted to also say thank you to Mongo for hosting a great event. For me it was great meeting some fellow Stovebolter's, finally being able to put a face with a name is fantastic.... For "Don" remember real BBQ doesn't need sauce.😁

Thanks for posting up the pictures John!
I knew you were taking a lot!

Forgot to mention the pics of the tree that grew through the frame and into the side of the Stovebolt 6 Art Deco. Very cool indeed.

It was indeed a great get together (if only I could have stayed longer). Many, many thanks to Don for getting this put together as it sounds like the big show may become a thing of the past if someone doesn't fill Gailynn's shoes (I'm sure I butchered her name). It is great that Steve offered up his Garage for the get together, I can't think of a better place to meet for stovebolters.
You guys done good

I'm sorry I didn't make it. Sounds like you all had a great time.
You can send me my T-shirt. Let me know the amount with shipping & I will send a check.
George
