Have a 46 1 1/2 ton and am trying to find out the different diff centre options.
can you get them as low as 3.08 etc... now I know that something this low will strain the 216 but just weighing up the otions as I am very new to the Big Bolts.

| | | | | Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 452 Member | | Member Joined: Dec 2004 Posts: 452 | Unfortunately, I don't think gear replacement options exist for any of the big bolts (1.5 and 2 ton), or even 1 tons, especially pre-'47. It seems the replacement market is mainly for '47-up 1/2 and 3/4 tons. The only option is probably swapping in a later model axle, or an overdrive tranny.

I've never figured out the H050, H052, and H072 designations, the differentials are the same, and everything else appears to be. Might be a brake issue. | | |
