I think the axles are different
3800 uses a 2 inch wide front leaf spring
Did The 3600 use a 1.5 inch wide leaf
But even if that’s true maybe all you need is a small spacer where the leaf mounts?
I’m gonna be in the similar but opposite situation as you when I go to fix up my 3600
My front axle is in perhaps not usable condition and I have many many 3800 trucks for parts all over the farm, I’m hoping I can use the 3800 front axle on my only 3600

"Froze tight"- - - - -like in "won't turn right/left" or "can't be pressed out for a kingpin and bushing change"? A rosebud torch will get a rust-frozen spindle moving right/left after disconnecting the tie rod and using a long piece of pipe as a lever over the spindle. Once you get it freed up, then change the kingpins and bushings. A 3600 does not have the right spindle or hub to accomodate the wheel offset you need to match the rear wheels of a 3800 if it's equipped with dual rear wheels. I just fixed a Massey-Ferguson 135 tractor with a rusted spindle that wouldn't turn right/left. It took two days of soaking with penetrating oil and heating with a torch to get it freed up. Jerry

Thanks for the tip I'll try that next. And as for 2many It's 2bad we live on opposite sides of the country!
