I’ve seen a few posts about aftermarket door latches being junk. I just replaced my passenger side latch that I ordered from partsgeek.com and it works good. I have to shut it a little harder than I would like but I think it’s because I have just replaced all the cab and door seals.

Those aftermarket latches are the ones many folks have trouble with. Time for you to do the "happy dance" (in front of someone in order for it to count).
