In doing an inspection and cleaning of the brakes on the ‘37 Chevy 1/2 ton I was reminded of a question about the brake shoe design. There is an unused hole at the top of each shoe. The attached photo shows the holes in each shoe circled in red. Anyone know their purpose?
Check the rear brakes- - - -I seem to remember that hole being used as part of the parking brake assembly, and I think the shoes will fit either front of rear on some applications. Jerry
