The transporter picked up my truck yesterday and took it to the new owner. He's already bragging about it.

I have an empty garage (which I am beginning an upgrade on - decent flooring, cabinets, lighting, etc.), and I miss my truck. Even though it sat too much in the garage, I still miss seeing it when I walk out to the car or come back in from a foray into the crazy world we live in now.

I don't regret selling it, but man do I miss it.

I smile each time I walk in the barn and see my 2 ton, I use it to haul hay a couple times a year and maybe take the grandkids for a ride, I would miss it also if it were gone.

Be strong, Paul!

Were you planning to fill that hole in your life with something else? A golf cart resto? Riding lawn mower project? Anything to turn a wrench on??

Get a large pic of the check and hang it in the garage until you find another project. I did some outboards to fill in.

Bartamos, What outboards? Old Mercs per chance?

Pic shows my 261 plus backup projects (like I needed those).

Small older motors. 3-6 HP range. One is an antique Merc (40's). others are Evinrude and Chrysler. (60's-70's) The trout lakes around here have a limit, about 6HP or 8Hp.
I rebuilt my Black Max 150 V6 a few years ago. Sold it with the Ranger. Still have the oil injection unit for that. Looks like you have a good inventory.

Paul, I didn't realize you had sold your truck. Hope you find another one soon.

Right now I'm focused on keeping my wife alive and getting rid of some of the junk in our lives. It was time to sell the truck. I only drove it occasionally. The new owner is going to enjoy it immensely, so that gives me some solace.

My next project is cleaning out the garage, then getting rid of the popcorn ceiling!, tearing out the sauna and the old, cheapo cabinets that the previous owner built, getting the floor done, and then setting up storage and getting the garage organized. Then, our car will be parked in there, safe from the ravages of hail in Texas.

I probably won't buy another truck ever. But you never know.

Is that the truck you brought to KC about 10 years ago? That was a beauty! Good it went to a good new owner.

Hey Paul, it sounds like you are going through some heavy stuff right now, but you must know that there is only one way to get over truck withdrawal.
Best of luck to you and yours. Y'all will get though this rough patch, so don't give up on the notion of filling that empty hole in your garage no matter how much junk gets stacked in its place in the mean time.
I have four of these stupid trucks. It pains me to even think of getting rid of one of them. It will happen soon enough for two of them though. One is going to my youngest son and another to a neighbor once I finish reassembling after paint. That leaves me with a daily driver and project. I guess that I will make. I just don't like the notion of it.
Carl

Thanks, 52Carl. Life is full of constant change. You either adapt or go crazy. I prefer to adapt. Who knows. Maybe a "new" truck will fall in my lap one day.
