New Camp Commandant??? Um, Marlow, ODSS senior leadership changes need to be confirmed by the Personnel Management Committe (of which, coincidentally, I am chair).

Senior leadership changes! Geez. I feel like on my 9th 06 in 10 yrs. Is it because the Camp Commandant is retiring or has Marlow be reassigned?

4 weeks to go. Looking forward to it. Get those trucks cleaned up. Hopefully there are more fellas coming than what have piped in so far. Not a whole lot of talk going on.

So I’m in, I’ve not been to Winchester since (13) I’m looking for a trailer so that I can bring the 57 Farmbolt but either way it will be nice to get away from home.

Mike B-- Any chatter yet about a B-W chapter usual convoy Thursday? Roache and I are in. My current plan is to bring Dempsey and Charlie on the Landoll behind the Guy Excavating Classic/Historic 359 Peterbilt (Corvette Dash ... wink ).

Looking towards to seeing you all! The Mrs kitchen is completed and now it’s all about me!
( ok, it always was! ) just came in from the truck. Going to install a steering dampener and trying to get a road force wheel balance to try to get those old rims closer to being balanced. I did put on the Centramatic discs on all four wheels. That did help. Was able to run 60 with no vibration. Vibration now starts at 65 to 70ish. Would love to run at 70 though. We’ll see on that one!
Pulled the gas gauge float and cleaned up the contacts for better accuracy. Other than a oil change, that’s it!
See ya soon! Like it or not!
Jim.

Ya know,
3804’s are the “TOP DOG” in the Stovebolt lineup!
Don’t forget, also babe magnets!

Do you believe that Amtrek Joe is not attending!! Sacrilege I say!
He made a minuscule excuse! Something on the lines of his daughters wedding! Really!

Guys, I'd love to join you at KC or Winchester, but I've been off the road (and the payroll) since early June with various madical issues. I'm planning a road trip before too long, hopefully before the snow flies, but this one's off the aganda for now!

I just got notified today that our "Classes of the 60's" high school reunion that was supposed to be on 9/11 has been postponed until next spring- - - -and I let everybody concerned know that I was not impressed! Bunch of timid snowflakes bought into the propaganda!

His (Amtrak Joe) only excuse viable is he's using his stovebolt truck for his daughter's wedding!

Sorry Nick, but that's not viable, either. He should have raised his kid better so that she would have made the *only* correct decision in this circumstance which is to hold the wedding at Winchester so dad wouldn't miss this *most* important event. That way, each us us could drive a bridesmaid, too.

As it is, Joe will be facing some pretty serious charges at the ODSS Disciplinary Hearings scheduled for Friday evening.

Same with you, Jerry. Medical "issues" (AKA, malingering...) are also not a valid excuse.

Glad you asked, Tim! This truck. Current plan is to have my 1-ton and Mike Roache's "Dempsey" on the Landoll trailer behind it. Boss (Pete owner) would like to have the 359 Pete in the show this year.

Still have a lot to do to get those plans together, but that's the plan, anyway ...

Lot’s to do??
That ol girl needs much love! Yes I know it’s a working truck, ....... but.........
How’s about some attention to those rim’s, tanks, quarters, bumper and that big thing in front, “the grille”!
Surely Mike has nothing to do! Get him on it!

Shoot, that truck does more work than I do. But in all fairness. That truck is cool as hell and pulls just as well. Charlie and Dempsey have a first class ride.

OK folks, time to get serious about Winchester. We are just a little over 2 weeks away. One thing that needs to happen this year is, unless we are actively working on or cruising in our trucks, we want all trucks to be parked on the inside of the fence on the show field. There were comments last year from spectators that couldn't tell if the trucks parked in the stretch across from camp were part of the show or not. I think all attending would like to see our entire lineup together. The show organizers would also really appreciate this. There is a good chance the dumpster that is usually at that end of the show field will be placed in a different location. That will give us a more unobstructed view of line-up and the trucks will be easier to see from camp. There is a back gate on the west side we can use to come and go if a truck needs to be moved or make a run. I nominate Pat66 to be Stovebolt Show Field Parking Coordinator Captain!! grin
As of right now, I will be there either Wednesday afternoon or Thursday Morning. I plan on bringing the usual as far as food goes. When we get a little closer we can hammer food details out.
We might have a first time 60-66 truck on the grounds this year....you know...to replace the one Hamebone won"t be there with..... cry
That is all.
