I would like to make this a work/show truck that can be driven to shows out of state or haul 4 tons of stone from the quarry. What kind of frame or driveline swaps are being done out there that work well. My mechanical abilities are unlimited and time is not a factor. This also might be worth not doing. My 71 GMC 5500 might be a better choice to restore for this. Any thoughts?? Thanks in advance.

Every thing worked out great. the top speed is about 75 with carb and header mods. It will haul anything. That would work fine for me considering I have a spare 292 in the barn (and my 5500 with a 292 isnt shy about about hauling 6 tons of material  ).I know the motor mounts are offset but can I use the orignial tranny? Is that 2 speed orignial in yours? If not what is out of? Thanks again.
