Still looking for guidance on the cab mounts for my 1937 1 1/2 ton. This project was dissassembled when I bought it. I need to find out how the cab mounts to the frame, (wood blocks, springs, bolts, etc.) Someone suggested I purchase the Master Parts Manual, and I did, but that hasn't helped either. Maybe I missed it. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Ralph

Sorry for the delay- I finally got under the truck last night and got the locations and bolt sizes and wood measurements. I am at work now and will email you when I get home tonight. The rear most cab mounts are by the cab corners, the 7/16 x 5 1/2 bolt goes thru the frame and then a 1 1/2 inch spacer made out of metal [kind of like a bunch of washers stacked up but one piece] the bolt then procedes thru the cab and a heavy 2 1/2 inch spring goes thru the last end of the bolt. The threaded end of the bolt under the frame is held by a castle nut and cotter pin. The middle mount is a 3/8 bolt threaded with castle nut that goes thru the frame then thru a 1 3/4x2x3 hardwood board [oak] then thru the cab. This mount is by the rear of the battery tray on pass. side and by the master cylinder on the drivers. The front mount appears to be a bolt [3/8x2 inch] that goes thru the frame and then thru some webbing that is the width of the frame. the webbing is 1/4 inch thick and they are two stacked onto each other. There is also another cab mount - you can see the bolts when you open the truck door on the floor, three bolts [5/16] that go through the cab then through a block of hardwood 1x3x3 1/2 to the the metal that has caged square nuts secured in place I hope that this is not too confusing to you! Thanks Gary, your information is not confusing and is very helpful. Since the cab is off the truck, I have replaced the two wood pieces, one on each side that has three 5/16 flat head machine bolts and attach to the caged nuts. I have a picture sent to me by another owner of a '37 1 1/2 ton Chevy and the spring on the rear mounts is under the frame as opposed to being on top (inside the cab). From your description it sounds like yours has the spring on top or inside the cab. Did I get that right? Let me know if you have anymore thoughts on this. I am going to make some blocks to the deminsions you cited. Thank you very much! Ralph

Yes the springs are mounted on the inside of the cab on the rear corners on my truck- I don't see any evidence that the cab has been off of this truck- I'm the second owner. But does it make sense this way? Now I wonder!!! Any comments from you other guys out there? Ralph can you possibly forward that picture to me? Thanks, Gary
