What is everyone using for the paint/color on the intake and exhaust manifolds on a 216 CID?
Thanks.

Top right near your user name, click on the magnifying glass.
Click on Advanced Forum Search.
In the field that says Keyword Search Terms enter with quotation marks:
"manifold paint"
Where it says Date Range, Newer than, you want to delete the number in the first box, then click the down arrows in the next box to the right, then select the blank.
Where it says Older than enter 1 in the box, then to the right click the down arrow and select days.
At the bottom click on Search Forums.

Personal preference.

I like natural cast iron rust. It's easiest to maintain.

The manifolds weren't fully painted but did get overspray on them. Any overspray burnt off in short order. Unpainted natural finish is considered to be correct for judging purposes.

The engine in my truck was orange ,but most say should be grey .I had a parts truck that also had some remnants of orange also it was a 51.I decided to change to grey and I am halfway there .I had my manifolds off so I used graphite in a aresol for the exhaust and grey for the intake.the grey I used being from Canada I used court grey armour coat from Canadian tire .We will see how it holds up .Kevin

"Stove polish" (beeswax and carbon powder) works better than paint on exhaust manifolds. It turns them a deep black that won't burn off like paint, and it's easy to reapply occasionally with just a cotton cloth to a cold manifold. Wear gloves if you don't want your fingertips to get stained!

I use Caylx manifold dressing. Its probably nothing more than what HRL's "stove polish" is made of.
I use The dark gray engine paint available from thefillingstation.com on the rest of the engine and the intake manifold.
The Caylx lasts a good year. If it needs to be touched up, it is just a matter of wiping more on the manifold. Then you get another year of a nice looking manifold.

Ok thank you everyone for your answers/suggestions. I think I'll go with grey on the intake and "cast" on the exhaust. I'm not going for concourse judging, I just want it to look somewhat period correct.

I like the idea of stove polish. I used barbeque paint but it is beginning to rust.
